Dr. Dobkins is Associate Professor of Communication. His primary research interests are in health communication, intercultural communication, and group dynamics. His current research involves an assessment of locus of control as a factor in the doctor-patient relationship, and the communication dynamics of families with a terminally ill member. Dr. Dobkins’ primary teaching duties include Applied Communication Research Methods, Communication in Conflict Management, Communication in Health Care, Leadership, and Training and Development.
