Dr. Adema is Assistant Professor of Communication. Her area of expertise is organizational communication. She is actively engaged in research pertaining to strategic communication--drawing from the public relations, advertising, management, organizational communication and speech communication literature. Her current research interests include corporate credibility, crisis communication, environmental crisis communication, social networks, and organizational loss. She is a strong proponent of service learning and experiential learning in the classroom. She teaches Teamwork, Interpersonal Communication, Organizational Communication, PR Case Studies, and Research Methods. Ms. Adema taught at the University of West Florida, Georgia Southern University, and the University of Alabama before joining the faculty at Radford University. Additionally, she has experience as a professional Communication Consultant and Trainer for Fortune-500 companies, universities, hospitals, and small businesses.
