I - Name
The name
of this organization will be the Social Work Club of Radford University.

Article
II - Purpose
The purpose
of the Social Work Club is to serve the University and community through
service and programming. The Social Work Club aims to uphold the values and
ethics of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics.

Article
III - Membership
In order
to be considered an active member, with voting rights, of the Social Work
Club of Radford University, members must:
- Pay dues by the
date set by the treasurer
- Meet attendance
requirements set by the current Executive Board.
- Maintain a 2.5 grade
point average within the Social Work major and must not be on academic
probation.

IV - Dues
Members
must pay dues as determined by the Executive Board.

V - Attendance
- Members must participate
in activities and meeting held by the Social Work Club.
- Members are not
to miss more than 50% of all activities or meetings per month.
- The president may
excuse absences due to academic/class, sickness, or other reasons determined
reasonable by the President.

Section
2: Duties of the Officers
- The President
will run and arrange all meetings held by the social work club. He/she
will oversee programs and meetings and delegate responsibilities. The
President will vote in the case of a tie.
- The Vice President
will preside over meetings if the president is absent. He/she will update
and manage membership status. He/she is also in charge of updating and
revising the Constitution. He/she will perform all duties assigned by
the President. The Vice President will assume responsibilities of President
if the President is unable to fulfill his/her duties.
- The Treasurer
will keep accurate records of financial accounts held by the Social Work
Club. He/she will also give reports at every meeting of account balances
and transactions. He/she will perform all duties assigned by the President.
The Treasurer will assume the responsibilities of the Vice President if
the Vice President is unable to fulfill his/her duties.
- The Secretary
will keep a record of the minutes from Executive Board meetings and general
club meetings. Minutes of each meeting will be sent out via email within
48 hours of the end of the meeting. He/she will advertise all Social Work
Club events. He/she will perform all duties assigned by the President.
The Secretary will assume the responsibilities of the Treasurer if the
Treasurer is unable to fulfill his/her duties.
- The Historian
will keep a record of all Social Work Club events. He/she will compile
a scrapbook by the end of April of each year. He/she will also coordinate
and run all elections. He/she will perform all duties assigned by the
President. The Historian will assume the responsibilities of the Secretary
if the Secretary is unable to fulfill his/her duties.
- The Advisor will
be a staff member from the Radford University School of Social Work. He/she
will assist, advise, and support the Social Work Club as needed.

3: Election of Officers
- Elections must
be held by April 15th of every year.
- The President
will not vote, except in the case of a tie.
- The President
and Advisor will count the votes.
- A quorum of 2/3
of all active members must be met in order to have elections.
- All positions
must receive 50% plus one of all voting members in order to hold the position.
- The President
must be elected from the Executive Board from the previous year. If there
are no bids from the previous Executive Board, the position must be elected
with a 2/3 majority.
