Welcome to Word Search Generator, a web application which allows you to make your own word search puzzles. Simply type in an optional title and a list of words to put in the puzzle, and a completed puzzle will be returned which you may print out. The returned puzzle will be in PDF format. Most computers have Adobe Acrobat Reader, a program that reads PDF files, already installed, but if yours does not you may download it free from Adobe.com.

Your puzzle words may contain only letters of the alphabet, and cannot be more than 40 characters long. If there are any invalid words, they will be silently ignored, as will duplicated words. If the program cannot place all your words in a puzzle (which rarely happens unless you have over 150 words), then it will place as many as it can and silently ignore the rest. The size of the puzzle will depend on the number and lengths of your words.

Note Word Search Generator inserts letters at random, and does not search your puzzle for the presence of profanities. If you intend to give your puzzle to another person, you should check it first for acceptability.
