In becoming a member of S.A.M, you will be able to participate in several activities designed to strengthen your management skills and awareness, and provided valuable community services.

Benefits of SAM Campus Membership :

  Membership Point System :

The point system is used as a record of each member's contribution to S.A.M. The more active the member is, the more points he or she earns. At the end of the year, the number of points each member earns may be used to determine the outstanding member of the year. The outstanding member will receive a plaque from the Radford Campus Chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Management, as well as having his or her name engraved on a plaque in the trophy case in Whitt Hall. Each member must earn a minimum of 10 points per semester to remain in good standing. Points are awarded as follows:

Event coordinators are reminded that a list containing the event name, date, and participating members should be turned over to the Vice President of Membership to assure that proper credit is given. Any member who agreed to attend, yet failed to do so, shall be marked as a "NO SHOW."

Please keep in mind that the point system is only a record of how active each member is in this organization--it is not the only means of determining who the outstanding member will be. Everyone is encouraged to actively contribute to the organization. Your contribution to S.A.M. is extremely important--without your help, this organization could not exist.
