For your comfort and convenience, we encourage you to bring the following things to campus:

Hot Tips:

 1.  Move-in day will go much smoother and be kinder to your back if you bring a handcart and pack in stackable containers.

 2.  One microwave (700 watts or less) and a refrigerator (2.0 amps or less) are allowed in the following halls only: Bolling, Draper, Floyd, Ingles, Norwood, Peery, Pocahontas, Stuart, Trinkle and Tyler.

 3.  Small, independent refrigerators (2.0 amps or less) are permitted in all residence halls and can be purchased at many department stores.

 4.  The state fire marshal is enforcing an international fire safety code which allows not more than 10 percent of walls in students’ rooms to have flammable items on them.  Therefore, you will need to choose your decorating carefully.  Simple bookshelves can be a creative way to display some items.
