ITEC 442. Database III
Three hours lecture (3).

Prerequisite: ITEC 441 and ITEC 325

A continuation of principles of database systems and the introduction to techniques for the modeling and manipulation of large data sets. This course is intended to provide a large-system capstone experience.

  1. Detailed Description of Content of Course

This course provides experience in project management and the specification, design, implementation, and evaluation of a large database system.

  1. Detailed Description of Conduct of Course

The focus of this class is the application of database techniques for the development of a large database system. Projects for this course are intended to provide the student a capstone experience using real projects.

To provide information technology students with the skills to specify, design and implement large database systems.

Participation in the specification, design, and development of a large database project is crucial to the successful completion of this course.
