MKTG 490. Marketing Internship.
Specific requirements and objectives to be arranged.
Prerequisites: Junior or senior standing, minimum GPA of 2.5 (cumulative) 3.0 (major) and permission of the instructor.
Semester offered: Fall, Spring, and Summer.
A one- or two-semester program of work and study in the student's major area and/or career interest. Number of hours of work and grade for the work performed determined by the faculty member or members sponsoring the student.
- Detailed Description of Content of the Course
Allows the student to work in an outside agency which is specifically linked to the student's career interests.
- Detailed Description of Conduct of the Course
The course consists of outside employment related to the student's career interests.
- Goals and Objectives of the Course
To develop a greater understanding of the chosen career field.
- Assessment Measures
Assessment of the student's success is based primarily on a final report project and periodic meetings with faculty supervisor and organization supervisor. Marketing internships are taken for a letter grade.
