Finance Internship

FINC 490. Finance Internship
Three hours.

Prerequisites: The student must be junior or senior finance major, a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and permission of the instructor.

A one-semester program of work and study in the student's major area and/or career interest. Learning objectives, number of hours of work, credit hours and grade for the work performed are determined by the faculty member and sponsoring representative. Graded A-F. (Approximately 140 hours of work are required for 3 credit hours).

Allows the student to work in an outside agency which is specifically linked to the student's career interests.

  1. Detailed Description of Conduct of Course

The course consists of outside employment related to the student's career interests.

  1. Goals and Objectives of the Course

At conclusion of course, student will demonstrate a greater understanding of the chosen career field.

  1. Assessment Measures

Assessment of the student's success is based primarily on a final report project and periodic meetings with faculty supervisor and organization supervisor.
