to promote, protect, and restore the holistic health of childbearing families.
2. Performs theory-based
therapeutic nursing interventions for childbearing families.
3. Collaborates with
childbearing families and other health care professionals to provide culturally
sensitive nursing care.

regarding professional nursing practice and health care issues pertinent to the
childbearing family.
5. Utilizes effective written,
oral, and nonverbal communication skills relevant to nursing care of
