Students will also use TAP to further their rhythmic skills.
Each lab session will include Sight Singing, both as a class and individually. Also included will be drills involving the material presented under B above.
At the conclusion of the course, the student will have developed dependable and accurate aural skills in ear training and sight singing and will know how to use these skills for their career in music.
Graded work will include tests, both individual Sight Singing exams and aural in-class dictation, recognition and error detection exams, frequent daily grades, grades from the computer program Ear Training, tests using TAP, and a final exam.
The Ear Training program will be used not only for graded assignments, but also as material available for aural drills free of being graded.
