PSYCHOLOGY 405: Forensic Psychology
Three hours lecture (3).
The purpose of this course is to convey information relating to forensic psychology, including aggression, serial killers, eyewitness testimony, courtroom psychology, detecting deception, the insanity plea, detecting malingering and dissimulation, critical incident counseling, and hostage negotiation.

3. Serial killers and other multiple murderers
4. Eyewitness testimony
5. Interviewing victims and witnesses
6. Courtroom psychology
7. The insanity plea
8. Detecting malingering and dissimulation
9. Detecting deception
10. Critical incident counseling
11. Crisis negotiations
Course will include formal lecture, discussion, student discussion, and hands-on projects.
Students will develop an in-depth knowledge of the theory and application of forensic psychology.
Graded assignments may include in-class tests, a final examination, the assignment and presentation of exercises and projects, and class preparation and participation.
