The
Radford Redcoats equestrian team has a long history at the
university. The riding team was the first sport to be offered by the
school in 1938. Today the Redcoats are a Sport Club comprised of
approximately 20 members, about half of whom compete at intercollegiate
horse shows. Radford competes in one of the toughest regions in the
country, comprised of Randolph College, Hollins University, Washington
& Lee University, University of Virginia, Bridgewater College,
Lynchburg College, Longwood University, James Madison University and Sweet
Briar College. Our goal is to represent our university as best we can
through equestrian competition, community service, and other group
activities. |

Our mission is to
give each member horsemanship skills as well as riding skills to all levels of riders.
We are a close knit team who show and ride together on a regular basis. Each member
is provided with responsibility, coordination, trust, and integrity. We are currently
seeking and accepting new members, and we welcome everyone who is interested and dedicated. |
