Test links: home / prose / whim / photos / art Last semester's Media 101 class had us doing, as a group project, our very own magazine, which we then pitched as if we were going to a publisher and trying to sell them on it. Tim Jackson cordoned us off into demographics and gave my group the "technology and gaming" genre to work with. So we did a gaming mag, GamesUnltd. Writing articles would have been natural, but no one else wanted to do graphic design, so I went for it. Here's how it came out.

A feature-length article complete with sidebar, produced by two of the other group members...
And a game review! Note the tiny text: these are actually in much higher resolution, print-quality resolution, actually. I managed to impress myself as well as pretty much everyone in the class. It earned me an A for personal merit, and as a group we got a B. Not too shabby! Here are a couple of the random Flashes I made for Digital Imaging.

Problems cropped up and I was stupid, so it ends up only half-working. And clicking on the Minish freezes the whole thing. My actual Flash project was destroyed and this was really rushed. But Kovarik liked it anyway and gave me an A.
... All my life I've sort of doodled on the side here and there. Only recently has a habit of doodling become a pastime bordering on an actual hobby. Nevertheless, here are some of my favorite doodles from my deviantART account which I haven't updated in months and months and years.
Wait for me, Soniiiic!
Some recent doodles from top down: a character from this novel-like epic saga type-thing I have going, a bunch of random stuff, and sum Animal Crossing luv. Mr. Resetti is the only annoying thing I allow myself to appreciate. I dunno why. I'll get some more stuff on here when I have a scanner that likes Vista ... |
