The Department of Information Technology offers an immersive program in computer security that includes a National Security Agency's Committee on National Security Standards (CNSS) certified per-baccalaureate Undergraduate Certificate in Information Security; national and regional award winning student driven Cyber Defense Club; NSA funded programs to increase cyber-security awareness in high schools and faculty/student led research in Computer Security.

The Undergraduate Certificate is available to students from all the concentrations in the Department of Information Technology. Graduates of this certificate are currently working as Secure Software Engineers; Security Analysts; Compliance Specialists and IT Security Administrators.
