About Our Chapter

The Radford University chapter of PRSSA received its charter in the Fall of 1994 during the presidency of Shelly Alley. There are now about 40 dues paying members, and more are joining every year. Though the RU PRSSA concentrates on public relations, members come from all educational backgrounds.

Benefits of Joining

In the public relations field, networking is a necessity, and PRSSA meets that need. The organization allows for practical application knowledge learned in the classroom setting. PRSSA is also one of two ways to become a member of PRSA. There are several scholarships that target PRSSA members, and there are opportunities to attend conferences that let members meet other students and PR professionals.
