Religious Studies Concentration

To graduate from Radford University students must complete 120 credit hours, including 50 hours of general education courses and 33 hours of courses in the major. To graduate with a B.A. degree students must complete 6-12 hours in a foreign language. To graduate with a B.S. degree students must complete 6-8 hours of approved courses beyond the general education requirements.

The religious studies concentration leading to either a B.A. or a B.S. degree consists of 33 hours; 21 hours of required courses in religious studies and 12 hours of electives in philosophy and/or religious studies.

RELN 370: American Sects and Cults
One of the following Eastern religions courses
RELN 350: Religion in India
RELN 360: Religion in China and Japan
PHIL 350: Philosophy of Religion
RELN 420: Topics in Religious Studies

Religious Studies Minor
The minor in religious studies consists of 18 semester hours of religious studies as outlined below:

RELN 112: Survey of World Religions
Two RELN or PHIL courses at the 200-level or above
Two 300-level RELN courses
