Gamma Mu Alumni, this scholarship was fully endowed.

Applications for the Radford University Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society Scholarship are made in Spring Semester

each year. The scholarship will be offered for the next academic year. The student must be of

sophomore or higher standing and be majoring in one of the Social Science disciplines with a 3.0 or better

overall GPA. Successful applicants will also have demonstrated a record of effective leadership and social

service. The scholarship will be for one year only.

Applications may be acquired from the RU Foundation, Financial Aid Office, Dean of Students Office

or Heth Information Desk. Questions about the scholarship should be directed to the RU Foundation

or to the local Pi Gamma Mu chapter.

International Scholarships:

Pi Gamma Mu International offers ten scholarships each year to students planning to continue their education at the graduate level in one of the Social Science areas. These scholarships are for the first or second year of graduate school only. Distribution of the scholarships depends upon the quality of the applicant pool, but generally three $2000 scholarships and seven $1000 scholarships are offered each year. Applicants in Interdisciplinary graduate programs not fitting the traditional definition of Social Science are judged upon their own merits depending upon the degree to which Social Science disciplines are an integral part of that program.

Applications are taken once each year, due at the National Headquarters by January 31. Each application requires a brief Personal Statement, resume, three letters of recommendation, and copies of the undergraduate and graduate transcripts from all institutions attended. The application form is published each Fall in Pi Gamma Mu International's newsletter and is also available from the local Pi Gamma Mu chapter.
