What to Expect

This is not a formal occasion by any means, so comfortable clothes and shoes are a must. Some other things you may want to bring are: a ball-point pen and pencil, a raincoat or umbrella, hangers, personal items, a blanket and small fan. The last two are optional; days may be hot, evenings cool, and the residence halls we are using for students are not climate controlled, whereas the parent buildings are. An alarm clock is a must. Sorry, but pets aren't invited to Quest.

If you have taken any courses for which you have received college credit (e.g. dual-enrollment) please be sure to bring your transcripts. In addition, if you haven't already mailed it, please bring your completed Health Record form you received in your admissions packet.

To give yourself enough time to check in and see the campus, please arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Quest 2008 check-in will be held in Peters Hall. We have reserved lots: S, N, M, GG, HH, D and G ( see map ) for Quest parking. From SR 117 (1-81, Exit 109), make a right turn onto Jefferson Street. We will have signs and Quest Staff to help guide you to the parking areas.

  • You will receive your Radford University Student ID at the conclusion of Quest. ID pictures will be taken throughout the first day (and continued on the second). We're telling you now so you're not surprised when we ask you to “say cheese!”
  • Your banking questions can be answered on the first day of Quest. Bank representatives will be on hand to open student accounts for the fall. Most require a $25 minimum deposit.
  • Should you be unable to attend Quest, requests for refunds must be received in writing (via email or US Mail) by June 16, 2008.
    • Refunds to credit/debit cards will be made within 24-48 hours of receiving your request.
    • Refund checks will be issued (in the students' name) for payments made via eCheck, check, or money order, and will be processed at the conclusion of Quest.
  • You don't pay fall semester fees at Quest. A billing statement from the University will be sent to you this summer.
