Overview

Fall Opening

For those students, freshmen and transfers, unable to attend one of our summer programs, we will hold abbreviated orientation and registration programs for you on Thursday and Friday, August 28th and 29th. Information about this program will be mailed in late July.

Spring Opening

Spring Advising and Registration, for both new freshmen and transfer students, will take place a few days prior to the start of the spring semester. Students planning to attend Radford University for the spring term should plan to attend this program.

Summer Programs

QUEST is Radford's orientation program for new freshmen. This summer orientation program begins the supportive process with a comprehensive overview of university culture, resources and services. QUEST's main objective is to academically advise and schedule new students for the upcoming fall semester. Faculty advisors and student leaders who serve as Quest Assistants offer new students guidance and reassurance during the two days they and their families are at Radford. The dates for 2009 have not yet been set.

Transfer Quest is Radford's orientation program for transfer students. This is a day-long program designed to provide an overview of RU and its services, as well as match students with faculty advisers who will advise and register them for their fall classes. The dates for 2009 have not yet been set.
