- Open your Control Panel
- Open System icon
- Select Advanced tab
- Press Environment Variables button
- In System variables, find Path and then click Edit
- In the edit text box for the variable value,
add the following to the end of the line:
;C:\Program Files\GNAT\2008\libexec\gcc\pentium-mingw32msv\4.1.3\
- Don't miss the semicolon (ie ";") in the line above
- Notice that the value of PATH is a list of folders, separated
by semicolons. These folders are searched when the OS is
looking for a command.
- This assumes that you installed GNAT in the folder Program Files
- Click OK to close things and you are done. Gnatmake should work
for AdaGIDE, GPS, and for the command line. (For it to work on the command
line, you have to open the cmd window AFTER you do the above steps.)
