 Reports:

President:

-Gave boomwhackers away at Conference in Atlanta. The AMTAS President donated djembe. Because they are trying to start a MT program, given $400 and instruments. Dwayne was appointed as the student representative of the AMTA Research Committee.

 V-P:

-none

 Secretary:

-absent, but minutes stand as read

 Treasurer:

-After apples and candy purchase for Halloween Party, $450.10 is the total in checking

 Historian:

-Melissa is going home this weekend………..bringing back scrapbook!!!

-Possibility of putting a block on her schedule until the scrapbook is returned.

Sr. Rep.:

-none, waiting on bylaws

-none

 Old Business:

-Tote Bag Committee:
            *Called 11-West; they still have print of original design

 -Massage Workshop:

            *Liz has not heard from Sheri

 -Empathy Workshop:

            *Dwayne and Bob met Rhonda in Atlanta; empathy workshop will not work out.

            *Instead, Mr. Borling was thinking maybe an improvisation music therapy

              workshop facilitated by Kenneth Bruscia; however, money may be an issue.

              Agreed by MTSORU as a good idea, so possible dates include Jan. 24^th-25^th,      

              Feb. 21^st-22^nd, Feb. 28^th-1^st, and the preferable date Feb. 7^th-8^th.

 -Halloween Party:

            *Only 2 kids came, so closed early

 Fundraisers:

            *Still looking for info. on car decals

            *Might sell tote-bags again or T-shirts. For T-shirts, can use the same design from

               tote-bags.

            *Money raised should be used to buy instruments

 New Business:

-Nicole won scholarship…..congrats!!

 -Possibility of certifying organization’s members; this is normally $40, but Dwayne can get it for $10 possibly.

 -Monday @ 6:30, a hand drumming class by the YMCA will meet in PO 149. Interested in holding a drum circle with MTSORU

 Activity:

-Talked about experiences at conference.
