During this semester four (4) major areas will be discussed- stress, nutrition/weight control, drugs and sex. Almost every day there will be in-class writing- some which will be turned in for grades/finished out of class, others which will be shared with class members and/or discussed with each worth 10 points. You will need only a notebook for the class.
For each of the above mentioned areas, you will read an article from the current popular media, write a 1 or 2 page review and orally report on it. The emphasis of the article is on how the information relates to you. Each worth 20 points.
NOTE: All out of class assignments are to be typewritten, double spaced and due on assignment dates. Attendance is mandatory due to in-class contributions-writing and speaking about your readings. NO EXCUSES!!!!!
Total class points will be equal to approximately 300, based on the out of class and in-class writing activities, as well as the oral reading reviews and the final exam.

These goals can be physical, mental, social, cultural or spiritual. You will do these activities as a group during the semester and include the benefits/advantages of this activity in your final. Activities you will attend are 1-athletic, 1-theater and 2 arts (music, dance, gallery exhibits, speakers).
This group of people will also be your group for the oral presentation based on the topics. The oral presentation is discussed on an additional handout. My group members are:
