All papers are to be typewritten, turned in stapled and on the day due. Under no conditions will papers be accepted late! (I loose the late papers  and you get No Credit). Attendance is required due to in class written and oral reactions to readings/videos. Participation will be an integral part of your grade. PERFECT ATTENDANCE WILL ADD 1/2 GRADE TO FINAL! EACH UNEXCUSED ABSENCE RESULTS IN A WHOLE GRADE REDUCTION MAKE CHOICES NOT EXCUSES!!

3. Present a health lesson activity from teaching/strategy (grade 6-12) from chapters 6-25. Each student will demonstrate an individual activity from the chapter or from another source about the chapter's topic. Suggestions for additional teaching ideas are the media center of the library.

Your sample lesson will include:    35 points

1. Purpose

2. Learning Objective state in behavioral terms and description of activity.

3. Materials list

4. Assessment of learning

The MS group is middle school grades 6-8 presenting on the topic. The HS group is high school grades 9-12. For each group - 2 students will present a mini lesson about 10-12 minutes with a sample lesson plan which I will reproduce for the class.

The remainder of the teaching group will be divided into 3 groups and will write responses to these questions:

    1. Who is doing the talking student or teacher? What multiple intelligences techniques are being used?

    2. What concept(s) should the students be learning?  

    3. What evaluation techniques are being used by the teacher?

The students in the non teaching group will assume the role of students.

On the days of student presentations by either the MS or HS groups, the student group not presenting will:

    For each activity, you will identify two(2) websites which relate to your topic at the grade level for your group. You will write a short paragraph about the content and the good points and links which are found on the site. Check the dates for your websites from the list below.  10 points
