1) What is a grad application?

1) A Graduation application is an application you fill out to make sure you meet the requirements for graduation. For more information go here.

2) When are Graduation Applications due?

2) Graduation applications are due early in the semester before the semester that you graduate. For instance, if you are graduating in spring, you will apply in the previous fall. To find out exactly when grad applications are due, go here: http://www.radford.edu/~registra/4yr.htm

3) On my check sheets, how do I show what courses I will do in the future?

3) If you are filling out check sheets for your graduation application, see questions 12 and 13. If you are filling out check sheets for regular advising, it is assumed a blank class (without a check or grade) will be taken in the future.

4) How many electives must I do?

4) This will depend on what is required for your major and whether you've declared a minor or not. You must have at least 120 hours to graduate. The equation is (number of hours for your major) + (number of hours for general education) + ( optional number of hours for minor) + (number of hours for electives) = 120 or more hours.

5) How many total hours must I have to graduate?

24) At least 120 hours.

6) Is an internship required to graduate?

26) No, you may take 2 practicum classes in lieu of an internship. However, it is STRONGLY advised for you to take an internship.

7) What is the difference between a B.S and a B.A?

20) Bachelor of Arts Options:Students with little to no foreign language background Who are placed in a first-semester course by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures may fulfill this requirement by taking the first three semesters (the first four in Spanish) of a foreign language for a total of 12 semester hours. If you have a background in foreign languages, you may be able to test out of basic courses. Go to http://www.radford.edu/~forl-web/ for more information.
