Crystal Hui-Shu Yang, Artist

Ms. Yang is a native of southern Taiwan. She received her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Chinese Culture University in Taipei and her M.F.A. from Radford University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in art education from the University of Georgia.

Ms. Yang has extensive experience in teaching art classes for children and adults in both Tiawan and the U.S. She will lead the puppet-making workshop and direct the puppet theater show.



Qin He, Soprano

Ms. He is a graduate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She has been a member of the Shanghai Opera House. She also has performed with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and the UC Berkeley Chorus. Ms. He will present a program of Chinese songs and will teach songs to the participants.



Marilyn Meador, Musician

Dr. Meador, Director of Music Education and of the Community Arts School at RU, is coordinator of the workshop. She is a perpetual student of music and culture from around the globe and is enjoying this opportunity to learn more about Chinese Arts along with the workshop participants. Dr. Meador will assist in the musical portions of the workshop.
