Revision Notes for Narrative

Writer's Memo. |
Place these in a folder with the final draft and writer's memo in the right pocket and the rest in the left pocket. Staple your final draft.
Today:
Open your draft/put cursor on the second page./Select "VIEW" and then "HEADER AND FOOTER."
Put your cursor in the far right of the header box/Select right align from the toolbar/Type your last name.
Select "INSERT," and then PAGE NUMBER."
In page number box turn of "show number on first page" by clicking on the check.
Click on "OK."
Select "CLOSE" in header footer box if it remains open.
Copy your draft by saving it with a new name such as Walker Draft. (Your old draft will still be there under the old name.)
Go to "TOOLS" and select "TRACK CHANGES."

Begin revising.
Start revising with the content issues. Add details, dialogue, rearrange and add scenes where necessary.
At 40-45 minutes past the hour, print what you have. To turn off track changes after you print, go to the window in the upper left that says "FINAL SHOWING MARK UP" and select "FINAL." (This will take away your revision notes.)
LOG OFF YOUR COMPUTER BEFORE LEAVING. TAKE YOUR DISK.
