These are websites I've developed as purely personal adventures.
Started: February 2011
Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, PHP, MySQL, jQuery, AJAX, XML
This was created as a new way to network with people—not the classic social networking one-to-one connections, but instead a common area for sharing and socializing that still allows an individual presence.
More lessons learned: HTML5, jQuery, more intimate AJAX.
Started: October 2008
Technologies: XHTML, CSS3, PHP, Flash, ActionScript, XML
Designed as a central hub to provide the latest news, music, and other media for my music project, Late Night Motion. An audio player made in Adobe Flash displays tracks based on an XML file, and updates "play counts" through a simple PHP script.
Started: 2003
Technologies: HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Flash, ActionScript
Originally developed simply to showcase Flash animations and games I made, this has grown into a website with a wide variety of content and more contributing authors. It has a PHP/MySQL back-end and admin management which allows control over almost all aspects of the site.
More lessons learned: First database-driven site (since 2006). Learned to use RewriteEngine in Apache for clean URLs.
Created a proprietary CMS called Easy Site Package, which allows the client to independently manage the site. Used as both a study in developing a CMS and, simultaneously, a real-life application, I worked closely with the client to integrate desired features as well as create a custom front-end interface for the site. Developed using PHP, MySQL, Javascript, and AJAX.
