During the course of this class I learned to use several different tools in several differnt programs. Beginning in Adobe Photoshope, the first assignment was basic crop and straightening tools such as the crop, trim, rotate, and measure tool. In the second assignment various selection tools such as the magic wand, magnetic lasso, color range, and filter extract were used to create three images made entirely of selections from other photos. The third assignment was restoring photos using the healing brush, clone stamp tool, red-eye reduction tool, pattern stamp tool, spot tool, and spot healing brush tool.

The fourth assignment is simply a linked image created using HTML code. The fifth assignment again used Photoshop to create transparent gif images. The second part of that assigment was using Photoshop to correct the color of some images by adjusting the brightness, contrast, along with other aspects of the images. Assignment six was composed of using Photoshop to create an image map. The text tool was used to add the state's name's to the map. The slice tool was then used to slice up the image and link each state to its appropriate website. It was then saved for the web in Photoshop. In the second part of assignment six, an image map of our choice was created using Photoshop. In this part I used the layer styles to create several different effects on my map and the text included. Adobe Dreamweaver was also used to add text links that corresponded to the links on the map.

For assignment seven menu buttons were created using Photoshop. Different styles were added to each button so they each had a different effect when hovered on. They were then placed on a web page using the image rollover option in Dreamweaver. The Banner assignment was created using a variety of programs and tools. Banners were created using Photoshop and also Adobe Flash. One is animated in the flash format and one is animated using a .gif format. Assignment nine contains logos created in Photoshop using the custom shape tool, text tool, and layer styles. The layout assignment was created entirely in Photoshop using the text tool, layer styles, shape tool, copy and pasting images. It was then saved as .pdf file so it would be viewable from the web. The last assignment is a web gallery, also created in Photoshop composed of photographs taken by myself. It was then edited in Dreamweaver to add captions to the photos and be viewable via a webpage.

Other techniques and processes learned include resizing an image, down-rezing an image for the web, conversion for print, creating HTML documents, creating directories and managing files, and converting images to HTML links.
