Coyote Habitat
Coyote distribution has been greatly impacted by two things: Destruction of habitat, and commercial hunting. The coyote's range has become much broader due to de-forestation. Coyotes are also blamed for killing livestock, and have become game to many hunters. They are now on the conservation list and are illegal to kill.
Coyotes of all kinds from desert to mountain are found all across North America. Although the species differ, the cause for distribution remains constant.
