A month long trip anywhere is sure to leave you
with many photographs. I personally came back with over 700
digital photographs. For easier viewing, I have divided the
galleries up into groups of similar subjects. Select the
specific gallery you would like to view at left under the heading
Photo Gallery. The photographs throughout the site link to
these galleries so you can view larger versions of those images.
All photographs on this site are mine and I would appreciate if they
were not used in any manner with out my written permission. If
you would like to use any of the images please contact me first at
kkitchene@radford.edu - Thank you!
Camera tips for your
travels:
Decide before hand what type of camera you want
to bring, or if you want to bring more than one. Remember you
will be carrying this stuff around everywhere you go! Be sure
you can keep it safe from the rain also.
Read up on film and airport baggage check-in.
A few people had problems with their film getting ruined.
There are special bags you can buy to put your film in so the
scanners don't harm the film. You will use a lot of film, so
note that you will also have to pay to have that all developed when
you get back!
For digital cameras, don't forget your battery
charger and I highly recommend you use rechargeable batteries on
this trip. Charge it every night. Digital camera
batteries (the non-rechargeables) die fairly quickly,
especially with the amount of use you will be giving it!
Remember that turning your camera on and off wastes a lot of
battery. Also, for digital cameras, bring extra memory!
I took two 256 MB cards- I used nearly all of that.
Make sure (as the web site is your assignment) to
get photos of stuff you would need for your web site. Signs
with info. are good, sites you visit of literary importance, group
shots, and scenic shots. You want memories and you want
content for your site. |
