My Third Review: 10,000 Words

10,000 Words is a place "where journalism and technology meet," as it is stated under the heading of the site. Forget those simple news sites where you get the main story and then several links to other stories of the day. 10,000 Words supplies the viewer with different forms of media all in one site.

The site itself was made for the purpose of teaching others how to incorporate other forms of multimedia into their work, whether it be videos or photos, etc. The links are basic in the navigation bar, and the tags for the site are clearly displayed to the left with photos that best fit the description of each linked area. When a visitor to the site is looking for tips on videos, they can simply click the video photo tag and be taken right to the site. It's very simple, and there is a lot of information on the site for others to have at their disposal.

I personally find the site to be simple yet effective. I was able to learn a few tips on adding videos and choosing what specific media to add to my websites in the future. I hope to someday incorporate my learnings in my work for this class.
