Professor of Economics
I was born, a long time ago, in a distant city whose residents call it
"the diamond stone in Earth's ring". I grew up within view of the Acropolis (in
the picture), but it took me about 17 years to actually visit it. It was one of these
Athenian days that you could not see a single cloud speck in the sky that I decided to cut
school to visit the "sacred rock" of Acropolis.
I completed high school in 1974 (and thus you can guess my age!) and after a grueling national exam I enrolled in the University of Piraeus where I earned my Diploma. Subsequently, I earned a Masters degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business. In 1982 I came to the USA where I studied (successfully!) for my Ph.D. at the University of Florida. Since 1985 I have been teaching a smorgasbord of classes at Radford University.
