BUYING a HOUSE

I scampered around Norfolk for a few days, talking to real estate agents, saw some property, and called some mortgage company people.  It was all very fun and exciting, and I felt all grown up or something.  After a few days of "unrealistic" excitement, the following decisions were made: It's difficult for me to make the decision on real estate and mortage right now since 1) I don't have time to go over all the excruciating details and intricacies of the situation before making an informed decision; 2) my parents who will have to co-sign the contract are 5-hours away and it's not a decision that can be reached in a weekend visit; 3) my loving fiance Iain who will also be part of the property investment is across the Atlantic; 4) even though we looked into the real estate market in the Ghent area of Norfolk (round school) with the intention of rent it out after I graduate, that means we'll have two mortgages to burden when Iain and I do purchase a home wherever we settle down.  So unless by some miracle like the stock market goes through the roof, Iain and I will visit the real estate market again later when he comes back.  Even though a detailed analysis of our resources pretruded us from purchasing any property right now, it was nevertheless a learning experience.

I still want to put up some pictures of places I saw, just for fnits and giggle.  I saw other houses and condos, but I only had P-punk's digital camera on one on the days...

I'm having issues with the formating of this page...(only in Microsoft Explorer though, it looks fine with Netscape)

This was the "dream house", red bricks, white columns, big porch, fireplaces, 6 bedrooms (hey, we'll need all that for the kids!!!), pointy towers, and French windows, backyard....too bad, it's over half a million dollars!!
