Ming is daugher of Jian-Guo Qi and Zheng-Qian Zhao of Radford, Virginia, and the granddaughter of Jin-Tao Qi and Ai-Qing Zhou of Shanghai, China and the late Fu-Yuan Feng and Lian-Bi Zhao of Shanghai, China.  
 
Iain Ross is son of John D Bolton, Demorest, Georgia and Irene Walker-Bolton, Midlothian, Virginia, and the grandson of the late J Dixon and Dorothy Bolton of Canterbury, England and the late John Stewart and Agnes Ross Walker of Midlothian, Scotland.
