This page is dedicated to that grey little feline named after the Ingrid Bergman character from Casablanca.  But mommy has angelofied the screen name Ilsa to the feline name Elsa.

I adopted Elsa from a friend in the Charlottesville-Arbemarle Rescue Squad summer of 2000 when I was working in Charlottesville.

later that summer..[2002]..don't we look alike?!

then summer was over and I couldn't have Elsa in the dorms, so she's been staying with her grandparents, aka, my parents.

Aren't we a pretty little lady?!

Rosie the visiting dog that took over Elsa's room and got a feline claw in her face when she tried to sniff Elsa, and then prompt scared Elsa to death with her barks.

this was elsa after I came back from China in August of 2002

Elsa during Thanksgiving of 2002.  Now we really look alike:)

Elsa meeting Victoria during Christmas of 2002.

Elsa underwent a feline hysterectomy under general anesthesia June 2003, she was three years old.  After the surgery, she recovered beautifully, began eating more and gaining weight.  The follow pictures were taken from Iain's and my homecoming the weekend of September 12, 2003.
Elsa was strapped to a little garden wagon, she felt quite silly about the whole situation.

Here's Iain toying with Elsa to get her to pull the wagon.

So Iain and I went to Wal-mart and got Elsa a hot pink harness and a black leash

Elsa loves the sunny spot by the backdoor

a face off

then Elsa met Victoria and all the puppies

Elsa then had to tolerate sharing her favortite spot on the back of the recliner with all the stuffed canines.
