January 1923, 4 Zones were created to collect clubs within a District to cover Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. In 1926, Zones were changed to Divisions.

Major expansion occured after 1946 and 1976 - 1977. Divisions 1, 4, 9, and 10 were divided with names like A/B, East/West, and North/South. By 1978 -1979 Divisions 18, 19, 20, and 21 were created.

October 2005, Divisions were grouped by Regions.
