(From E-Builder, April 2005) It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the end of the club known as the Pioneers, that met at the Royster Presbyterian Church, near Wards Corner in Norfolk. We were down to a membership of 12 and the President, Secretary and Treasurer stayed on for another year to hold the club together at the urging of the membership. It became clear that with the loss of these gentlemen the leadership could not be replaced by the remaining members (advanced age and ailments precluding). A unanimous decision was reached that we end the club at mid year and donate all monies to the new mobile unit of the CHKD. Tuesday the 29th of March was the final meeting of the club as Kiwanians after 29 years of service to the children of the world. Thank you one and all for all of the help and support through the years. Farewell and following seas.
