Distinguished Club

(From E-Builder, Jan 2005) The Kiwanis Club of Greater Westminster's board of directors recently approved club participation in the Kiwanis International World Link program to sponsor building of a new Kiwanis Club in Paida, Estonia. This project was approved in the interest of friendship and for the promotion philanthropy in Estonia. Paida was designated as the first choice location for the new club because of the existing Partner City Program between the City of Westminster and the City of Paida. Laurie Graham, a member of our club, spent 2 weeks in Estonia last summer, living with a family in Paida and working in a flower shop. She was there to share business ideas, following the lead of other companies in our city and county. The Kiwanis Club of Greater Westminster plans to work closely with the new club when it is formed and some members plan to visit Paida and the new Kiwanis Club in the future.

Contributed $100 to Tsunami Relief Effort.
