Put on an old time Music Festival making $53 assisted in putting on a crippled Children's Clinic.

Organization Boy Scout troop, Girl Scout troop, and Cub Pack. Delivered the Charter to the Boy Scout troop. Had a program devoted to Scouting and contributed money towards the establishment of a permanent camp for Scouts.

It had a series of farmers meetings with appropriate programs and gave a $5.00 prize for the most improved farm buildings.

Tried enforcement of an old ordinance forbidding cows and other live stock to be allowed to roam the streets, inaugurated a "Clean Up" program, started a movement for building a Community House, used N.Y.A. boys and followed the work to completion. It had programs on the NYA, Social Security, History of the County.

Inter-club meetings at Coeburn, Norton and to the Charter Night at Narrows, and had numerous visitors from other clubs.

Entertained the LG, held four Kiwanis education meetings and was represented at the Mid-Winter Conference and the District Convention.

Raised money to give hot lunches to 100 underprivileged children for the months of October, November and December.

Sponsored the building of a Community House and bought a piano for it, obtained part of the money from a play put on by the Barter Players. This building was dedicated at an inter-club meeting at which Norton, Coeburn, Big Stone Gal) and Jenkins, KY. were represented. Programs on Our Town, Tuberculosis, and the Improvement of the County Roads.

Visited Norton, Pikesville, KY, and attended the charter night of the Jenkins, KY, club and held a Ladies Night inter-club picnic with Coeburn.

Entertained the LG who took part in the dedication of the Community House.

Chairman of the Boys and Girls Work Committee attended Scout training course and gave instructions to Scouts in fire prevention and detection. The Home Economic club gave a program. The NYA girls put on a program and the FFA boys.

A delegation went to Bluefield, WVA to visit the International President. It held all inter-club meeting with Coeburn, the LG as guest speaker. It was host to Norton and a joint Ladies Night picnic with Coeburn.

Had a report of the International Convention, sent representa-tives to the District Convention.

Distributed toys for children and baskets of food to 50 indigent families at Christmas.

Sponsored the troop and raised funds to finance it for the year, contributed to the Girls Scout organization, had programs put on by the Home Economics class and the FFA and persuaded the City Council to put safety signs at tile school.

Presented a flag pole and a flag to the school, had the pole promptly put up and the flag flown with ceremonies featuring the History of the Flag.

Helped with the registration of 21-year-olds for the Selective Service, held a successful flower show, worked for a new highway ill the community. Had programs on The Health Department of Virginia, Good Roads, Telephone Communications, Safety, Plumbing, Soil Conservation, First Aid, and the club History.

Entertained the LTG, sent delegates to International and District conventions.

Had a program on Scouting and carried out a successful drive for Scout finances.

Aided the Scrap Drive, and gave a dinner to 21. Had programs on: The War, Tobacco.

Attended an inter-club meeting at Norton but had to 'omit its annual picnic meeting with Coeburn.

Held a Ladies Night, had several Ki-wanis education, meetings and entertained
the LTG and the District Governor.

The club put on a drive for Christmas gifts for underprivileged children. Extended the Christmas giving to include indigent families. Boxes were tracked and delivered to families comprising 50adults and 100 children.

Entertained the honor students at the High School and-offered a prize, for the boy or girl who should make the best average grade, and discussed sponsoring a Scout troop.
