The run is at Bissetrk Pa located off East Main Street.

September 30th - The 3rd Annual Carilion Shawsville 5K  - race is at 9:00am with registration at 7:30-8:45am. Starts at Camp  Alta Mons at Crokett Springs - four miles south of Shawsville on  Alleghany Springs Road.

       October 7th - Gillett Ford 10K and 1 mile fun run. Starts and finishes at the VT Corporate Research Center. For more information go to www.theweightclub.com

       October 14th - Brush Mountain Trail Race (1/2 marathon, 10K and 3K races).  Located in Pandapas Park and part of the Jefferson National Forest. The  park is 5 minutes from Blacksburg off of 460. All finishers of the half  marathon get a free pair of DeFeet socks and just for signing up a long  sleeve technical shirt! Check out www.runaboutsports.com for race maps  and information. 10 miles west of Blacksburg on US 460 (towards Blue  Field), left on USFS 708, follow for 6 miles, parking in Boce's Field..  is on your left. Online registration is also available on Active.com.

       October 14th - Light the Fire 5K - This annual event starts and finishes at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Check out www.stmarysblacksburg.org/lifeteen/5k/

       October 14th - Micheal B. Perry 5K - Put on by a fraternity in honor of Micheal Perry this 5K starts and finishes by the duckpond at VT.

       October 15th - The Rowdy Dawg Mountain Bike Race  - Starts and finishes in Pandapas Park, part of the Jefferson National  Forest. Pro/ Expert course is 20+ miles, Sport and Beginner 2 is 17  miles, and Beginner 1 is 3.5 miles. There is also a kids race. 10 miles  west of Blacksburg on US 460 (towards Blue Field), left on USFS 708,  follow for 6 miles, parking in Boce's Field is on your left.

       October 15th - VT Crew 5K - Put on by the VT Crew team as a fundraiser. The race starts and stops at the Duck Pond. Check out Runabout Sports for fliers.

       October 21st - Pumpkin Run 5K on the campus at VT. Put on by VT Rec Sports. The race starts and finished at the Duck Pond on campus.

       October 28th - 5K Memorial Run -  Tis run takes place on the campus of VT and will start and finish at  the Duck Pond on campus. Part of the proceeds are going to the families  of Derrick McFarland and Eric Sutphin. The run is put on by Pi Sigma  Epsilon, a co-ed business fraternity. Entry forms will be available at  Runabout soon.
