Federal Stafford Loan Exit Counseling

Need help repaying your loans? Armed Services Other sources Other options

Who is required to do an Exit Interview?

If you received a Federal Stafford Loan at Radford University and....

  • you have withdrawn from all classes at RU.....

  • you have withdrawn below half-time status at RU.....

  • or, you are graduating from Radford University....

You are required to complete an Exit Interview. Students who fail to complete this requirement will be blocked from future registration at Radford University. Diplomas will be held for all graduating students until this requirement has been met. When you complete the Exit Interview online you will need to create an account (if you have not already)  in order to access the online loan counseling.  This is to keep your information private.

You should have your loan information and the amounts that you have borrowed before you begin the Exit Interview on the web. Also, you will need information regarding two references, their addresses and phone numbers. There is a short quiz at the end of the Exit Interview that you will have to take to complete the Exit Interview. You must pass 70% of the questions in order to satisfactorily satisfy this requirement. Once the Interview is completed, the results of your successful Exit Interview will be e-mailed to RU's Financial Aid Office automatically.

If you have trouble setting up an account or get your account locked for the the Stafford Loan Entrance or Exit interview, please call SALLIE MAE at 888-2SALLIE!
