File & Folder Synchronization
  • Will only see synchronized files when offline.
  • If working offline, will see an icon in the Notification area indicating that you are offline.
  • Will get a notification when your computer goes offline.

CD-R  CD-RW
  • Direct CD did not come with tablets.
  • There is no software installed that allows use of a CD-RW like you would a floppy.
  • Can read CD-RW drives, and write new files, but not overwrite or erase files.

  • Slow connections if several/many people are using and they are on the edge of the access point’s range.

Wireless Tips
  • If you are in your office plugged into an Ethernet port you may want to turn wireless off.
    • Fn – F7
  • If you are on the edge of a wireless connection it may slow your computer down.  You may be better off to turn wireless off.

    • Allows RU to buy a smaller number of licenses
  • Can use from off campus if VPN is established
