- Tablet users that received their computer prior to June 14, 2004 have a
unique problem that their wireless network adapter might be selected and
used even if they are plugged into a network connection.
- The following changes correct this problem and make sure that the
Ethernet network adapter will always take priority.

- Right click ‘My Network Places’
- Click Properties
- Right click ‘Local Area Connection 2’
- Click Properties
- Scroll down to ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)’ then click it
- Click properties

- Click advanced
- Uncheck ‘Automatic Metric’
- Type ‘1’ in the field next to ‘Interface Metric’
- Click ‘ok’
- Click ‘ok’
- Click ‘close’

- Right click ‘Wireless Network Connection’
- Click Properties
- Scroll down to ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)’ then click it
- Click properties
