Dr. Donald Samson, Professor of English, will direct the program, which will involve course work at Radford during the Spring 2010 semester and three weeks in London in May and June 2010.

Students will take two courses, English Literature and London, and Study of Drama.  As part of the program, the group will visit many literary and historic sites in London and southern England.  Students will earn six credit hours for those courses, which are designed for non-English majors as well as English majors.

In London, the group will visit Westminster Abbey, Shakespeare's Globe Theater, Keats' House, the Dickens' Museum, Dr. Johnson's House, St. Paul's Cathedral, the British Museum, the Tower of London, the Royal National Theater, St. Paul's Cathedral, the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery, and many other sites associated with English writers.  Outside London, the group will visit Canterbury, Stratford-on-Avon, Salisbury and Stonehenge, Windsor, St. Alban's, and possibly Brighton.
