Distribution
Distribution in North America: The raccoon reaches from parts of
southern Canada and extends down throughout most of the United States except
for some parts along the Rocky Mountains. . For the most part,
their only limitation is long cold drawn out winters. These animals
are highly adaptable to most any environment. (9)

World distribution: The raccoon can be found in Central and South
America. In the 30's it was introduced in Germany and the Soviet Union
and is now found in the Netherlands and France. (10)
