This is David’s second
year in the Department of Theatre and Cinema. Most recently he has
worked at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois, where he was
teaching Theatre and Film classes as well as designing several
productions. His design credits include 1776, The
Mousetrap, The Miss Firecracker Contest, Angels in
America, and the musical Return to the Forbidden Planet.
At Parkland he directed the comedy Wonder of the World and
worked as a scenic artist for the premiere production of Bah Humbug
Productions’ A Christmas Carol.
Originally from
Homewood, Alabama, David holds a B.A. in Art and Theatre from Auburn
University and an M.A. in Theatre History from the University of
Illinois. He has worked as a scenic artist for the Krannert Center
for the Performing Arts in Urbana, Illinois and as scenic charge for
Parkland College Theatre.
