My Review of "New York Times' best interactives of 2008

Interactive Examples

This strory from the New York Times' features the best interactives of 2008. These interactives do an awesome job of sharing information in a creative and fun way. These interactives coved everything from politics, the economy, the 2008 Olympics, and breaking news. Not all of these interactives are interactive in the same way. For the 2008 Olympics there was in interactive to show the evolution of the Olympic torch. In this interactive you would roll your mouse over the image of the torch and and the information about that years torch would appear and the torch its self would get bigger. Another interactive I found fun was the Fold-in, Past and Present. With this one there are images of fold-in folded up and when you click on the fold-in it allows you to open them. Then you are able to see that the cover of the fold-in is actually made up of the inside contents.

I found this a really good use of multimedia beause it combinded a lot of them on this site. It has pictures, videos and sound. I really enjoyed this site because it was able to show information in a fun way that the reader could interact with it.
