Dr. Henderson's research interests lie primarily in four areas.
On the Strategic front, he is researching in three areas. First area is Performance Management. This includes assessment of organizational performance, as well as team-based performance. He is also interested in the assessment of Not-for-Profit organizations and identifying new measures for service or knowledge-based firms.
A second strategic area, his research efforts focus on achieving and sustaining competitive advantages using quality, innovation, customer service, speed, and flexiblility.
A third strategic area, his research efforts focus on value-adding strategies of improved or completely new business models. This includes e-commerce, outsourcing, process improvement or reengineering, and restructuring the value chain to add more value to the customer.
On the Entrepreneurship front, he has researched tactics that help make home-based businesses more competitive.
