  6. Course Objective: An introduction to the techniques used in the modeling and manipulation of large sets of data
  7. Topics: Entity Relationship Modeling, Database Design, Structured Query Language(SQL), Transaction Management and Concurrency Control, Distributed Database Management Systems, Client/Server System, Web Database Application

  9. Grading: Your grade for the course will be based on the following weights. (Use 10 point scale)
    • Quiz/Attendance 10%
    • Homework 30%
    • Tests 35%
    • Final Exam 25%

There will be no make-up for missing tests or exam unless formally documented by Dean of Students. Instructor has no responsibility to repeat the lecture inside the class or during the office hour for missing classes.

  1. Honor Code: (No one can copy any part of somebody else's work) The Radford University Honor Code will be in effect. All work should be done on an individual basis. Any violation of the Honor Code will be brought to the notice of the Dean of Students. (No any discussion about homework between students).   2. Program/Homework Grading Policy: Program/homework will be due on specified time. No late program/homework will be accepted.
